Dream Of You A Laurel Heights Novel Book 5 edition by Kate Perry Literature Fiction eBooks
If you are looking for a light fun read, the books of the Laurel Heights series by Kate Perry will do the trick. I have read book 4, Looking for You and 5, Dream of you. I really liked both of them. Laugh out load funny with romance and great characters.Laurel Heights is an upper crust community/ shopping district in San Francisco (fictionally, of course) and the series revolves around the shop owners and their crazy lives. From what I can tell, all the shop owners are bas ass females ruling the world, or well their stores at least. Perry does a great job with these girls and all the rest of the characters. You can picture them in your head and feel their distinct personalities. The books are written from multiple view points, giving you even more insight into what’s going on in the neighborhood.
My main warning for this series is graphic sex, but not enough to classify this as erotica. Also, this is a rather large series of books. Each book can be read alone, but you may get wrapped up in the world of Laurel Heights.

Dream Of You A Laurel Heights Novel Book 5 edition by Kate Perry Literature Fiction eBooks Reviews
I've liked this series by Kate Perry enough to continue. This one was executed best by far -- I liked both characters this time because I got just enough to see where their heads are.
There's definitely a formula to Perry's books; POVs from the main hero and heroine; and secondary story told from a single point of view. This time I think both of these work, just not together.
This is the story of Lola (Gwen's friend and the resident in the apartment above Outta My Gourd) and Sam (a former football player and now sports DJ). They meet when Sam's ex (who works at the station) assigns him to a talk radio program about women and romance. Lola's a romance writer and appears on the show; sparks immediately fly. But Rob's a player and Lola's been hurt so they've got stuff to work out.
The secondary story involves Kristen, the former CEO of a tech company who now works at Grounds for Thought with Eve, just because she likes people. Her biological clock is ticking and practically explodes when she meets Rob at GfT.
I'm not quite at 4 stars because this story was filled with more typos than I had expected and I'm not entirely sure the title makes sense with this book.
I've read a few of Kate Perry's novels. Notably Looking for You, Perfect for You and Playing for Keeps. Kate Perry has a lot of promise as a writer, but unfortunately for me I can't recommend her novels as anything but a light summer beach read where you're in/out of sleepiness and not paying much attention. If you're looking for a strong romance novel, with well-thought out realistic characters who have a beautiful story then Ms. Perry isn't for you.
As other readers have commented, her books are often riddled with spelling and grammatical errors (I didn't notice many in this novel because I wasn't paying that much attention to the spelling although a few glaring mistakes caught my eye). In this novel in particular, my biggest gripe was the two unrealistic stories playing out. I LOVE a great secondary storyline in a novel, but Kristen was 100% crazy - the kind of woman that most men should run from. Kristen decides she wants to have a baby before it's "too late" (TOTALLY FINE AND REASONABLE). Then a guy walks into the coffee shop and she decides he will be her baby daddy (TOTALLY UNREASONABLE AND CRAZY). In real life, Kristen would be hit with restraining orders and arrested for stalking and harassment. Furthermore, there was no chemistry between Kristen and Rob - their "connection" was predicated on a desperate, clingy, stalker-type woman and an egotistical, narcissistic man who likes that kind of thing. People have their fetishes, who am I to judge?
Anyway, back to the main story. Sam's daughter Miranda (or whatever her name was...maybe Heather? Madison?) did not read as an 11year old to me (but hey, maybe she is a mature 11year old). The custody/visitation situation in the book was really weird. The ex-wife cannot dictate when Sam needs to see his child, obviously at 11years old he needs to get some court ordered custody arrangement down and stop being a pawn in his ex-wife's game. Sam and Lola had more lust and love for me which was one of the many ways this book didn't ring true.
I kept this to a light read and read it during my nightly bath which was fine.
